Zion Park is southern Utahís most popular tourist attraction. Every year it attracts approximately 2.5 million visitors who stand in awe at its enormous sandstone monoliths that tower 2,000 to 3,000 feet above the canyon floor. Most visitors venture into Zion Canyon, which contains the greatest concentration of these striking natural landmarks, including the Court of the Patriarchs, the Great White Throne and Angels Landing. Zion National Park boasts trails appropriate for all ages that are not content with just sightseeing from the road and want to explore the parkís scenery more in depth. Trails range from an easy ľ-mile ascent to Weeping Rock, an exhibit of lush hanging gardens, to a strenuous 4-mile climb to Observation Point, one of the best top-down views in Zion Canyon.

Besides Zion Park, southern Utah features many scenic and historic attractions worth visiting. Southern Utahís signature red rock scenery is on display at Snow Canyon State Park, Sand Hollow State Park and Red Cliffs Recreation Area. Southern Utah is a full of historical attractions, including restored pioneer residences, a natural history museum, a pioneer history museum and Zion Parkís own Zion Human History Museum, which tells the parkís more recent history through many artifact displays. Southern Utah is also home to a unique theatrical venue, the Tuacahn Amphitheater, which presents Broadway musical productions amidst a backdrop of red rock cliffs.
